“UTKAL” the ancient name of modern ODISHA saw the birth of UTKAL CHEMISTS & DRUGGISTS ASSOCIATION and in true sense, first established in Cuttack in 1966 and thereafter shifted to the temple city of Bhubaneswar.

It is the brain child of Late Sri Atala Bihari Pattanaik, the founder member who made it emerge as one platform and one voice representing the entire fraternity of the chemists and druggists scattered all over the State.

The Association is representative body of nearly 16000 members engaged in pharmaceutical retail and wholesale trade protecting the interest of drug trade.

Under one umbrella the district units evolve strongly and effectively. It strives consistently to work in close co-ordination with the apex body and ensure good rapport with State Govt. and public bodies, focusing attention for vital interests of trade and industry of Pharmaceutical in Odisha
